KIIT School of Pharmacy, KIMS, KIIT Deemed to be University, has celebrated 63rd National Pharmacy Week (NPW, 17th – 23rd November 2024) on 23rd November, 2024, as declared by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association on the Theme “THINK HEALTH, THINK PHARMACY”. Various competitions like Essay, Quiz and Elocution were organized to establish a common platform to discuss on the NPW theme. About 200 people participated in the celebration.
The National Pharmacy Week celebration (Meeting) was graced by the presence of eminent personalities like Sri. Subodh Kumar Nayak. Ex-Director, Drugs Control Administration, Odisha, as Chief Guest; Dr. Nilamadhab Dash, Ex-Director, Drugs Control Administration, Odisha, as Chief speaker; Sri. Prafulla Kumar Mahapatra, Professor in Pharmacy and Director, School of Allied Medical Sciences; Prof.(Dr.) Una Lakshmi Narayan, Principal, KIIT School of Pharmacy; Prof.(Dr.) Arun Panda, Professor in Pharmacology, KIIT School of Pharmacy.
Prof. Prafulla Kumar Mahapatra, Director, School of Allied Medical Sciences, delivered a welcome speech to invite the guest to the NPW celebration.
Sri Subodh Kumar Nayak, Chief Guest extended his warm thanks to the people who ensure that we stay healthy and happy with their dedication and hard work of the Pharmacy people. He encouraged everyone to do outreach activities so that the pivotal role of pharmacists in the field of healthcare can be presented to society.
Dr. Nilamadhab Dash, Chief speaker, delivered a speech about the powerful impact of pharmacy people on the health of the patients and the vital role pharmacists play in the healthcare system. He elaborated on the incomparable role of pharmacists in the challenging times and said that there is immense potential in the pharmaceutical sector to move forward.
Prof. (Dr.) U.L. Narayan, Principal and Prof. (Dr.) Arun Panda, KIIT School of Pharmacy delivered their valuable and remarkable speech to enlighten the young student pharmacist about the importance of Pharmacy profession and Pharmacist in Society in view of the Health care system.
The prizes of various competitions were distributed to the meritorious student pharmacist by the Guest. Finally Dr. Biswaranjan Behera, Professor in Pharmacognosy delivered the vote of thanks.
