The World Pharmacist Day 2025 was celebratedon 25th September 2025 by KIIT School of Pharmacy(KSP) in association with Pharmacy fraternity of Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), reflecting the theme “Think Health Think Pharmacist”. The day began with a spirited walkathon that brought together pharmacists, faculty, and students, symbolizing unity and their commitment to better health care.
The formal ceremony began with welcoming the dignitaries, bouquet presentations, and lighting of the lamp. Dr.ManasRanjan Behera, Medical Superintendent, KIMS-PBMH, delivered an encouraging welcome address emphasizing the expanding role of pharmacists in modern healthcare and the significance of pharmacovigilance. This was followed by insightful remarks from Sri Manas Kumar Das, General Manager, Pharmacy; Dr. (Prof.) Rama Chandra Das, AVM, Dean & Principal, KIMS; Dr. R. N. Samanta, Advisor to Founder-KIMS; and Prof. (Dr.) C. B. K. Mohanty, Pro Vice Chancellor, KIMS each highlighting the profession’s growing contribution to clinical excellence.
A major highlight was the inspiring address by the Hon’ble Founder of KIIT, KISS & KIMS, Prof.(Dr.)AchyutaSamanta, who appreciated the dedication of pharmacists across KIMS and praised the strong academic culture of KIIT School of Pharmacy.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Dr. Biswaranjan Behera, Principal, KSP. The day ended with a colourful cultural evening featuring music, dance, and artistic performances by students and staff of KIMS and KSP, showcasing creativity and togetherness.
