On 20th November 2025, the KIIT School of Pharmacy (KSOP), Bhubaneswar celebrated the 64thNational Pharmacy Week with the theme “Pharmacists as Advocates of Vaccination”. The inaugural event brought together faculty members, students and invited guests, highlighting the vital role of pharmacists in public health and vaccine awareness. The programme commenced with an opening address by Dr. Biswaranjan Behera, Principal, KIIT School of Pharmacy emphasizing the importance of rational pharmacy practice, followed by our Chief Guest Dr. ManasRajan Behera, Medical Superintendent, KIMS and Chief Speaker Dr.SonaliKar, HOD, Community Medicine, KIMS, Bhubaneswar focusing on the role of pharmacist in child and adult vaccination advocacy and community pharmacy practices. The celebration created an engaging academic environment, inspiring students to uphold professional ethics and contribute meaningfully to healthcare delivery. The event strengthened KIIT School of Pharmacy’s commitment to nurture competent, socially responsible pharmacy professionals while strengthening awareness on vaccination and safe medicine practice.
